How Much Does a Wedding Celebrant Cost in Brisbane?

Brisbane wedding celebrant cost breakdown for dream ceremony

Celebrant fees vary because ceremonies vary. A legals-only ceremony for two takes far less preparation than a personalised ceremony for 150 guests with a love story, personal vows and music. Here’s what shapes the cost of a wedding celebrant in Brisbane, and exactly what I charge.

What you’re paying for

A good celebrant’s fee covers much more than 20 minutes on the day:

  • Meetings to get to know you and plan your ceremony

  • Writing a personalised ceremony script, including all legal wording

  • Preparing and checking your legal paperwork, including the Notice of Intended Marriage

  • A professional PA system, microphone and ceremony music

  • Arriving early to work with your venue, photographer and other suppliers

  • Lodging your marriage paperwork with the Registry of Births, Deaths and Marriages afterwards

What affects the price

  • Guest numbers and ceremony style: a private legals-only ceremony needs less time than a full, personalised ceremony.

  • Personal touches: a love story, personal vows and rituals take extra writing and guidance.

  • Day of the week: many celebrants, including Let’s Marry, offer a discount for weekday weddings.

  • Travel: ceremonies further from Brisbane, such as the Scenic Rim or Mount Tamborine, may include travel.

Let’s Marry celebrant prices

  • Essentials for Two (elopements and legals-only ceremonies, up to around 10 guests): from $660 incl. GST

  • Intimate and Boutique (micro weddings, around 10 to 40 guests): from $990 incl. GST

  • All the Bells and Vows (full, personalised ceremonies, around 40 to 500 guests): from $1,320 incl. GST

Weddings from Monday to Thursday receive a 5% discount. The All the Bells and Vows package includes two hours of private wedding dance lessons (normally $200). If you’d also like me as your MC, the Celebrant and Emcee Package is $2,100 incl. GST. See all packages.

Questions to ask any celebrant before you book

  • Is the PA system and music included?

  • How many meetings are included, and how are they held?

  • Will you help write our love story and personal vows?

  • Are there any travel costs for our location?

  • Are you registered with the Attorney-General’s Department?
